TRiO Upward Bound

The TRiO Upward Bound program prepares low-income, potential first generation students from Frederick Douglass Academy for Young Men and Osborn High School for the rigors or higher education. Participants will be provided with cultural experiences, opportunities for service learning and leadership experiences, which will transform them from students to leaders.

Business Leaders' Accelerated Start

Our Business Leaders' Accelerated Start (BLAST) Program in the College of Business Administration, helps you launch your business career while you're still in high school...for free!  An enhanced dual-enrollment program, BLAST allows you to complete up to eight college courses in business without paying tuition.

Engineering & Science

DAPCEP offers Saturday morning programs on five weekends in the Fall and Spring. Approximately 700 students in the 4th through 12th grades take courses in math, science, computers and engineering.

STEM X is a program designed for 10th and 11th grade students to experience the excitement of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at Detroit Mercy.
